Imagine my surprise when, after a lifetime of thinking I had little artistic skill, I picked up watercolor painting as a pandemic hobby in 2020 and realized that I could actually make paintings that looked like something recognizable!
While I paint landscapes and the occasional seasonal character or scene for fun, I've really found connection in painting dogs. Perhaps this has something to do with finding my family's dog around the same time I picked up my first paintbrush—but perhaps it's just a concidence.
I live in the SF Bay Area with my husband and three children, plus the aforementioned dog, Kit. When I'm not painting, I enjoy making home-cooked dinners, reading novels, hiking, and studying ASL and deaf culture. Though honestly, most of the time I'm probably driving a kid somewhere or picking up their clothes from the floor.
I ship portraits throughout the United States. Each piece is painted on high-quality watercolor paper and arrives ready for framing.
